Hong Kong, May 10, 2010 Sharp-Roxy (Hong Kong) Limited today announced the release of its new AQUOS LX710 series, with screen sizes available in 60-inch, 52-inch, 46-inch, and 40-inch, having an unsurpassed audio-visual experience through various technological advancement and innovation.

LED Backlight System to impress
The latest LX710 series employs a full array LED backlight system, in which the LED backlight is evenly dispersed behind a diffuser, resulting in higher uniformity and a clearer picture. Meanwhile, the LED backlight is directly behind the panel, making the distance from the LED light source to the screen much shorter. The result is the light required to view the same picture is reduced and power consumption is also lessened.

Ultra Brilliant LED that sparkles 
Sharp's own Ultra Brilliant LED unit incorporates core technologies for a better degree of luminance and higher image quality. Take the Multi-fluorescents technology with newly developed red and green fluorescents for example, it increases light output and colour purity to produce lifelike images. Moreover, specially developed quad cuts for the inner lens improve light dispersion to achieve greater brightness.

Ground-breaking X-Generation Panel with UV²A Technology
The newly developed X-Gen LCD Panel incorporates photo-alignment capability UV²A technology^*1, which pin points the alignment of liquid crystal modules in a simple LCD panel structure. It also adopts an advanced pixel structure that utilizes a wider aperture ratio, allowing more light to pass through and creating a brighter white. Conversely, deeper black tones are realized because the advanced structure comes with fewer ribs, and the pixels are better sealed to minimize light leakage.

Astounding Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio
With a full array LED backlight system, and the adoption of X-Gen panel and Ultra Brilliant LED backlight, the LX710 series achieves a greater degree of luminance and a ultra-high dynamic contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 that delivers unprecedented degree of black and brighter whites, projecting images with incredible depth.

By combining 100Hz/120Hz Fine Motion Advanced technology with 100Hz/120Hz backlight scanning, the LX710 series doubles the conventional 50/60 frames per second, smoothing out edges that are created in frames in the original footage. The backlight scanning collaborates with the panel refresh rate to further reduce perceived motion blur for fast-moving scenes, improving overall clarity and enjoyment. 

Powerful ARSS Six-Speaker System
The new ARSS^*2 Six-Speaker System features four speakers surrounding the TV screen with two woofer units at the back^*3. With this powerful new setup, sounds appear to come from the centre of the TV screen, creating a wonderful and effective connection between pictures and sound to offer the viewers a hitherto unseen world of new audio experiences.

Deep DuoBass Woofer System and Bass Enhancer
DuoBass technology sets two back-to-back woofer units^*3 to offset vibration, providing an enhanced bass performance while protecting delicate parts inside the TV. The leading edge Bass Enhancer reproduces the realistic deep bass sounds in low frequency, adding a new dimension for music or movie enjoyment.

Added flexibility is ensured with four HDMI terminals (compatible to 1080p/24Hz and deep color standard), in addition to a PC input and other analog inputs.
